The Big City of Apples

Malia’s family came to town (shortly after we finished our kitchen table…) It was such a blessing to have family here in New Jersey getting to experience a little of our lives here.  So we had a big Mondy style breakfast before taking a few little tours…

Malia and her (always littler) sisters…

Then we headed over the Hudson to see a bit of NYC in all her glory.

We had a bit of a difficult time actually getting to the places we wanted to see… statue of liberty, 9-11 memorial, so we just ended up driving everywhere and then got out to shop a bit and go to Hillsong NYC for one of their evening services.

We also made sure to drive around Times Square / Broadway at night just for the experience.

Then a couple of weeks later we took some of our crew from church over to Hillsong. These guys faithfully serve every week and we wanted them to have a time to get to attend church and also have fresh eyes to see what it’s like to go to a church as a new person and see if there was anything they could bring back for their teams.

A few of our New Jersey family members…

Irving Plaza is where Hillsong is currently meeting… aka. Malia’s artsy photo of the day.

We ended the night at Tick Tock Diner (for you food network junkies… this place was featured on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives) It is the after Hillsong Church tradition for us Jersians.
